The publishing company doesn't care about licensing fees for physical DVDs because only one person can see it at a time. After renting the DVD for 21 nights, they make money. ![]() They can then rent out that DVD an unlimited number of times. To rent a physical DVD out to someone, Redbox simply needs to buy a DVD for $20. It's because publishing companies are horrible people that want Redbox to pay an insane licensing fee. ![]()
